Just in time for Spring comes - finally - Mighty Oaks debut. So far we're only pressing up promo copies but indeed 10 songs have been finalized, mixed, mastered and sequenced. Graced with Peter Sander's cover (thumbnail shown), the self-titled release will likely be CD only for the time being with an eye towards other formats if fate and finances allow.
We're keeping it local for now. Ric Collectibles on Main St (at Gerrard) has a few copies for one. We did our 1st Record Release there (for the 45) so the tradition continues. Click on 'Stores' if you need directions and say hello to Joe. There's also a few copies at Beach City Music (my other favorite record store) at Queen St E & Glen Manor (also linked in 'Stores').
In other news, Owen Cameron Keenan's electronic voyage of 2008 'Songbuktu', long-finished and long-shelved - is now to see the light of day. It had been brought right up to the mastering stage - Manie Rosos did some great work with that - but was interrupted by putting a band together! Now that the smoke has settled somewhat, we'd love for this music to be heard and now it will be.
